Too Busy

“Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest. In plowing time and in harvest you shall rest” (Exodus 34:21 NSVB). Bingo-nailed me! It seems that God knew we would take Sabbath to be a good suggestion rather then a serious word.

In our most busy and demanding times we choose to do what is necessary for the season; to get the fields plowed or the olives harvested. It is when my to-do list is most crowded that taking a Sabbath seems dumb. However, I’m not to live by my opinion, but His. So I bow to His leadership and take a Sabbath; a Stop-day in the midst of my harvesting. This is hard.

  1. Thank you, Susan, for not only instructing us, but for showing us how to walk, especially when it’s hard.

Bless your “window” time this morning. Cheers!
